There are places in the world where life still moves to an older rhythm.
Where dawn begins with birdsong rather than traffic. Where rivers are revered, mountains are places of quiet contemplation, and each day unfolds without the need to hurry.
Nestled in the Himalayan foothills of northern India, Uttarakhand has long been a place of pilgrimage, reflection and renewal. Here, alongside the sacred Ganges, we invite you to embrace the gentle art of slowing down.
This thoughtfully curated journey is not about doing more—it is about experiencing more deeply.

🌿 Delhi
Our journey begins in India’s vibrant capital, where centuries of history meet contemporary life. Gentle introductions to Delhi’s gardens, heritage and cuisine allow us to settle into the rhythm of India before travelling north. It is the perfect place to pause, arrive and begin embracing a slower pace of travel.

🌊 Haridwar
The River
Where the sacred Ganges emerges from the Himalaya, Haridwar has welcomed pilgrims for centuries. Here we wander riverside ghats, explore hidden temples and witness the unforgettable evening Ganga Aarti. Ancient rituals, flowing water and quiet moments beside the river gently invite us to slow down and simply observe.

🧘 Rishikesh
The Practice
Nestled in the Himalayan foothills, Rishikesh is where yoga, Ayurveda and everyday life have long existed side by side. Riverside walks, peaceful ashrams, local cafés and time beside the emerald waters of the Ganges create space for reflection, while an excursion to Devprayag reveals the spectacular birthplace of the sacred river.

🌳 Jim Corbett National Park
The Forest
The Pink City is a paradise for textile lovers — from natural dye block printing in Bagru, to exquisite jewellery museums, to endless opportunities for sourcing. Jaipur blends creativity with royal heritage, offering a gentle and inspiring close to our journey. Here, colour, craft, and culture unfold in every moment.

🏔️ Binsar
The Mountains
High in the Kumaon Himalaya, Binsar offers a fitting conclusion to our journey. Ancient temples, mountain villages and sweeping Himalayan vistas reveal a region where culture and landscape remain beautifully intertwined. Here we discover the spiritual traditions of Kumaon, explore the timeless charm of Almora and savour the quiet beauty of mountain life.
How our days unfold
Delhi - 1 night
Our journey begins with a gentle arrival in Delhi before travelling north into the Himalayan foothills, allowing time to settle into India’s unique rhythm.
Haridwar - 3 nights
The River - movement, life, renewal
Our first destination is Haridwar, one of India’s most sacred cities, where the Ganges leaves the mountains and begins its journey across the plains.
Over three unhurried days we explore bustling markets, riverside ghats and hidden temples. We witness the unforgettable evening Ganga Aarti, visit quiet ashrams and enjoy moments of stillness beside the river. Optional yoga and meditation sessions introduce us to practices that have been part of daily life here for centuries.
Rishikesh - 3 nights
The Practice - presence, intention, balance
From Haridwar we continue upstream to Rishikesh, nestled between forested hills and the emerald waters of the Ganges.
Known as the Yoga Capital of the World, Rishikesh offers far more than yoga. Here we experience peaceful riverside walks, time for personal reflection, visits to renowned ashrams and opportunities to explore Ayurveda and holistic traditions at a relaxed pace.
A highlight of our stay is an excursion to Devprayag, where two Himalayan rivers meet to form the sacred Ganges—one of India’s most profound natural and spiritual landscapes.
Jim Corbett National Park - 2 nights
The Forest- listening, observation, connection
Leaving the river behind, we enter the forests of Jim Corbett National Park.
Our riverside lodge provides the perfect setting to reconnect with nature. Guided walks, birdwatching, gentle cycling, village visits and time beside the river are complemented by safari experiences in search of elephants, deer and, with a little luck, the elusive Bengal tiger.
It is a place where silence is broken only by birdsong and the rustling of leaves.
Binsar - 3 nights
The Mountains- Perspective, stillness, reflection
Our final days are spent high in the Kumaon Himalaya at the elegant Tree of Life Grand Oak Manor, where crisp mountain air, ancient forests and expansive Himalayan views create the perfect setting for reflection.
Binsar invites us to embrace a slower rhythm. Mornings begin gently, perhaps with tea overlooking the mountains or a quiet walk beneath towering oaks and pines, while afternoons offer time to simply absorb the peace of this remarkable landscape.
One day is devoted to A Day with the Gods—a journey through sacred landscapes, ancient temples and living traditions that have shaped mountain life for centuries. More than a sightseeing excursion, it is an opportunity to discover the spiritual heart of Kumaon and the enduring relationship between its people, nature and the divine.
Another day takes us to the historic hill town of Almora, where mountain culture, artisan traditions and centuries-old temples reveal the rich heritage of the region. We wander through the lively lanes of Lala Bazaar, pause at hilltop temples with sweeping Himalayan views, savour the flavours of traditional Kumaoni cuisine and discover the quiet beauty that has inspired generations of artists, writers and seekers.
As our journey draws to a close, Binsar offers something increasingly rare: time to pause, to reflect and to carry home not only memories of extraordinary places, but also a gentler way of seeing the world
