Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrive Delhi by international flight 

On arrival at Delhi International airport and after clearing immigration formalities, you will meet our representative in the arrival hall. He will further assist you in your vehicle and then hotel check-in formalities. (Standard check-in time is 1200 hours)

Day 02 - Delhi

Breakfast at hotel, then you will proceed for a combined full day city tour of Old and New Delhi.

 

We start the tour from Old Delhi, Chandni Chowk this part of Delhi will take you into the Old Mughal era. While walking through old lanes you can see big wooden carved antique doors, big havelis (mansion), narrow lanes and busy bustling life.

 

You can relish on lip smacking street food in the Old Delhi market. Then you will visit India’s largest Mosque “Jama Masjid” where at a time 25,000 can be accommodated.

After lunch visits to New Delhi, beautifully designed by “Sir Edwin Lutyens”, drive past India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Connaught Place.

Later continue the sightseeing by visiting, Humayun Tomb, the tomb was built in 1570 and was the first garden-tomb made by Humayun’s son Akbar. It is a UNESCO world heritage site.

 

Conclude the sightseeing with the visit of “Qutub Minar”, the stunning red stone tower is 72.5 m high with 2.75m in diameter. It is also a UNESCO site.

 

The evening will be at leisure to pursue independent activities

Day 03 - Delhi - Khajuraho by flight 

Breakfast at hotel. Thereafter transfer to the airport to bard the flight for Khajuraho

Khajuraho is famous for its most spectacular erotic stone carved temples. These temples were built by Chandela rulers between AD 900 to 1130. It is a world heritage listed temples. In these temples human emotions are beautifully portrayed which will leave you speechless with advance sculpture and carving art.

Evening enjoy sound and light show conducted in Western group of temples.

Day 04 - Khajuraho 

Breakfast at hotel.

After lunch proceed for a half day sightseeing of the world famous erotic temples of Khajuraho. The evening will be at leisure to relax or to pursue independent activities.

Day 05 - Khajuraho – Orchha – Jhansi railway station (approx. 180 Kms/ 4.5 hours drive)

Jhansi- Agra by train departure 17:30/ arrival 22:10 hrs (train timing subject to change)

Drive to Jhansi railway station en-route visit Orchha Fort. This beautiful Fort was founded in 16th century at the bank of Betwa River.

 

Later continue drive to Jhansi railway station. On arrival board the train for Agra. Meeting and assistance on arrival at Agra railway station and transfer to hotel.

 

Agra the land of the Taj is not only famous for the biggest allure “Taj Mahal” but also a legacy to the  Mughals. Their legacy can be seen in mausoleums, tombs and magnificent forts.

Day 06 - Agra 

Breakfast at hotel then enjoy a walking tour discovering Oriental Agra. The program is conducted by using Eco friendly Battery operated Rickshaws.

In this tour you get to see Dara Shikoh's library, Mirza Ghalib's birthplace, the headquarters of the Radhasoami faith, the ancient Manka Meshwar temple, the Jama Masjid, and churches of different Christian sects, St. Patrick's Junior College - Asia's oldest convent and the Akbar Church.

 

On the way, you will be part of the early morning bustle at the shoe mandi in Johri Bazar, the only street of Ayurvedic doctors, the paan and the petha mandi and the food street of Seth Gali.This tour is a very interactive tour and includes both walk and ride.

 

Afternoon visit the Red Fort what used to the be the residence of the Mughals. It is an UNESCO heritage site.

 

Later in the evening arrive at Mehtab Bagh to enjoy sunset reflecting on the Taj Mahal. Mehtab Bagh is located on the left bank of Yamuna opposite Taj Mahal. The garden complex is approximately 300 square meters and is in straight alignment with the Taj Mahal.The excavation has revealed a huge octagonal tank on the southern periphery; Baradaris or pavilion on the East and West; a small octagonal tank at the center and a gateway at the Northern wall.

Day 07 - Agra - Bharatpur (55 kms 1 hr)

Early morning visit the the majestic Taj Mahal, at sunrise the rays of the sun have a magical effect on the marble surface. It changes its color which creates eternal beauty (Closed on Friday). After visiting Taj Mahal return to hotel for breakfast.

 

Later drive to Bharatpur. En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri. The short lived capital of Mughal emperor Akbar “Fatehpur Sikri “is 40 kms away from Agra. Sufi Saint Salim Chisti from Sikri village predicted the birth of an heir to Mughal throne. Akbar then built this beautiful monument which is a  blend of Mughal and Persian art.

Continue drive to Bharatpur.

On arrival check in at the hotel in Keoladeo National Park is also known as Bharatpur Bird Sactuary. The park is famous for being one of the most important world’s migratory bird national parks for breeding and feeding. This World Heritage Site can be explored on foot or by cycle rickshaw.

Day 08 - Bharatpur - Jaipur (180 kms 4 hrs)

Hawa Mahal Jaipur

Early morning visit to this beautiful bird sanctuary by cycle rickshaw. Later return to hotel.

 

After breakfast at hotel drive to Jaipur. Jaipur also known as the pink city because of its wall colors which are exclusively painted in pink. This colorful city has chaotic streets, auto rickshaw and a lively culture. It is the gateway to Rajasthan vacations, here you can still see royal life, forts and Palaces reflecting the glorious past.

 

On arrival check in at hotel. Evening will be at leisure to relax or to pursue independent activities.

Day 09 - Jaipur

After early breakfast proceed to visit Amber Fort and on the way stop at Hawa Mahal. It was built to enable royal ladies to watch the daily activities of the city because in those days ladies were practicing purdah (covering of faces).

 

At the entrance gate of Amber Fort, you will be provided jeep to visit Amber Fort.

 

Later, visit Anokhi Museum which is renowned famous for Hand Printing (AMHP). The museum is located in a magnificently restored haveli, the museum displays a varied selection of block printed textiles alongside images, tools and related objects – all chosen to provide an in-depth look into the complexity of this ancient tradition.

After visiting Anokhi proceed toward a small coffee house near Hawa Mahal and enjoy a short coffee break and to take a few pictures of the Hawa Mahal.

Later visit City Palace (Royal residence). City Palace has several courtyard, gardens and buildings. The Palace was the ceremonial and administrative seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur. The Palace was also the location of religious and cultural events, as well as a patron of arts, commerce, and industry. It now houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum, and continues to be the home of the Jaipur royal family

Day 10 - Jaipur

Early morning at 06:30 hrs yoga at your respective hotel.

 

In SUNRISE YOGA class, we have included an introduction to YOGA, followed by a warm-up, stretching, poses, pranayama and a short lesson on meditation YOGA. 

Later freshen up and enjoy a hearty breakfast there after visit a textile workshop of Hand block printing in Jaipur.

The program leader will take you around the factory, showing you samples of printed textile, as well as the wooden blocks and vegetable dye used in the printing process. 

 

Later proceed to Sanganer,  a small township situated approximately 16 kilometers away from Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Known for its famous handmade paper industry and the textile printing industry, Sanganer is very famous for Jain pilgrimage services.  

 

Apart from the flourishing industries, Sanganer is also known for its medieval ruins and primeval temples that are deeply rooted in the culture and heritage of the settlement.

 

On arrival visit this small township, see people making beautiful fabrics using natural colors. Also visit hand making paper workshop or factory. Have a interactive session with local craftsmen and local people.

Later in the afternoon return to Jaipur. On arrival visit Blue Pottery.  Blue Pottery is one of the well-known crafts of Jaipur. It was once a native craft of Persia that was brought to India by Mughals and later got patronized by Indian rulers (mostly Rajputs).

Day 11 - Jaipur - Varanasi by flight

Post breakfast assisted transfer to airport to board the flight for Varanasi.

 

Varanasi is one of the oldest Hindu city also known as Kashi. People come here from all over the India to take a holy dip and wash away their sins. People wish to die here to rid themselves from the cycle of life and death. The city is also famous for fine Banarasi Silk, beetle leaf and Banasras Hindu University.

 

Meeting and assistance on arrival at Varanasi airport and transfer to hotel. 

 

Evening have a meditation session at the ghat. Later enjoy a boat ride while the Ganga aarti (Hindu ritual) is performed.

Day 12 - Varanasi

Early morning you will be picked up from your hotel for boat ride and ghat visit

 

Boat Ride covers : Starts from Assi Ghat to Manikarnika Ghat and finish at Dashaswemedh Ghat.

Best time to start the morning boat ride in Varanasi is 5.15 in summer and 6 am in winters.

After the boat ride enjoy 45 minutes walking tour through narrow lanes of Old Kashi popularly known as Banaras or Varanasi. Walk in a five feet wide alley which used to be the widest road of Varanasi in the ancient times. The oldest markets, narrow and puzzled alleys of Varanasi will take you to an entirely different world. Seeing a 400-year-old saree market, the spice and grains market, a magnificent mosque built by the Mughals along the river and the temple of Lord Kaal Bhairao , known as the Kotwal or the Police Chief of Varanasi will give you a real sense of the old city "Kashi".

 

Later return to hotel for breakfast and after some rest proceed to visit Sarnath. It is the place where Budha came after he achieved enlightenment at Bodhgaya. Later he gave his first famous sermon at deer park here. In the 3rd Century BC Emperor Ashoka constructed a magnificent stupa and monasteries here.

Day 13 - Varanasi

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the wonders of Varanasi at your own pace.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for Delhi for onward flight.
